The new collection of Manter self-adhesive papers produced by Arconvert offers unexplored creative possibilities for premium labels thanks to Arconvert new technologies, unique textures and appealing colors.

Creativity is the beating heart of the new Arconvert Innovation & Inspiration catalog, for, through inspiration and innovation, creativity has always been the basis of every development process. Dedicated to the most innovative and inspired minds of our time, such as, for example, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk or Banksy, this new catalog looks forward both in terms of technology and aesthetics.

Despite nowadays’ many forms of communication, labels continue to be the most powerful tool for brands that want to leave an indelible mark on consumers’ mind, starting from the first glance on the shelf. Designed by Stefano Torregrossa, brilliant and multitalented art director of O,nice! Design studio, the labels celebrate some of the most inventive minds of our time. The labels are small works of art printed in Bolzano by La Commerciale Borgogno.

This second article dedicated to this brand-new collection presents two of the finest papers of the catalogue’s “Innovation” section, Waterproof White and Sorolla H+O Ultra WS. Both presents different technologies aimed to resist water absorption and maintain perfect labels even under difficult circumstances like temperature shifts or humidity.

Waterproof White is an uncoated paper produced with FSC™ certified elemental chlorine free (ECF) pulp. It is treated on both sides with a special waterproof coating technology that prevents deformation, wrinkles and bubbles. Waterproof White preserves the initial label opacity and integrity without the addition of any protective film even after enduring extreme temperature changes and ice bucket immersion for up to 24 hours. Combined with Arconvert’s permanent acrylic adhesive SH-9020™ this versatile self-adhesive paper provides a perfect label adhesion to the bottle.

The label celebrates Elon Reeve Musk, a technology entrepreneur, investor, and engineer. Founder of Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, OpenAI, PayPal and numerous other startups and considered one of the most brilliant minds of our time. Musk has envisioned a highspeed transportation system known as the Hyperloop, a vertical takeoff and landing supersonic jet electric aircraft, known as the Musk electric jet, with the aim of reducing global warming through sustainable energy production and consumption. He has stated that the goals of SpaceX, Tesla, and SolarCity revolve around his vision to decrease the risk of human extinction by establishing a human colony on Mars.

This champagne, perfect for celebrating the first SpaceX launch and Tesla success, is dedicated to Musk’s first and second names “Elon Reeve”, that give a more French vibe than his surname. His fictional winery was founded in 1971, Musk’s birth year, while the EM logo in the middle of the floral decoration highlights Musk’s initials.

Sorolla H+O UWS is an uncoated paper with a natural white shade and smooth surface produced with FSC™certified elemental chlorine free (ECF) pulp. The high substance makes this paper perfect for high-end products labels featuring embossing or debossing finish. The H+Opacity™ treatment preserves the initial label opacity and premium image of the brand even after enduring the demanding challenge of the fridge and ice bucket. The Ultra WS™ treatment prevents deformation, wrinkles and bubbles. Combined with Arconvert’s permanent acrylic adhesive SH-9020™ providing a perfect label adhesion to the bottle, Sorolla is the ideal solution for labelling projects requiring high-performing labels.

This second label is dedicated to TimBL, Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee, is an English engineer and computer scientist, best known for inventing the World Wide Web, the first web browser, and the fundamental protocols and algorithms allowing the Web to function. In November 1989, he implemented the first successful communication between a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) client and server via the internet. He built the very first website at CERN and launched it online on 6th August 1991. In 2004, he was knighted by HM Queen Elizabeth II for his pioneering work.

The label pays homage to this incredibly bright man by featuring an imaginary English Gin produced in his own private distillery at his home. Through the icons of a connected world and four antennas to symbolize the WiFi connection, the graphic design alludes to the global connection made possible by BernersLee’s inventions. As well, with the idea that Gin is distilled to also increase connections between people. The label also contains a quote from BernersLee himself, who had already predicted the revolutionary impact of his work on people’s lives all over the world.
