Imagine blue skies and green valleys, imagine rocky cliffs and foaming waves.

That is West Cork – Ireland, where this unique label took inspiration. That’s where the newspaper Skibbereen Eagle was founded in 1857 in a small town, from which the name originated.

From these incredible sceneries to Portugal, the designer studio Think Bold wanted to celebrate the historical newspaper and make typography and paper the focus of their research. A journey back in time to discover old-fashioned printed newspaper and Ireland.

These key elements are brought back to life on the incredible Irish Whiskey.

With an inspired use of Arconvert’s Cotone Bianco Ultra WS, the label shows the ancient and sophisticated character of this product through colours and embellishments, from the strong embossing featuring vintage lettering to the hot foil stamping.

Cotone Bianco has the perfect texture to express the Skibbereen Eagle design; a 100% natural cotton paper highlighting the intrinsic essence of the raw material with slight variations in tone and appearance that give a special finishing of authenticity.  Combined with the Ultra WS technology, which prevents wrinkles, bubbles and the deformation of the label, this paper is ready to withstand any kind of skirmish, from humidity to time.
