Wine Label

What are a zebra and a dromedary doing on two wine labels?

Cantina Todini is in the heart of Umbria, a renowned Italian region superbly oriented to preserve the indigenous vines.  The Todini family promotes their territory with WeAreTodini, that is over 1000 hectares and includes in addition to the vineyards and the cellar, a Relais and restaurant, that provides products typical of that area.  Finally, they also have the Leo Wild Park, a nature park home to exotic animals.

The labels of Consolare Umbria I.G.T. and Laudato Umbria I.G.T wines have been created and designed by Studio Doni & Associati, an agency specialized in the packaging, labeling and international communication of the enological sector.  The iconographic inspiration of the two labels, which respectively show a zebra and a dromedary, wishes to display the conscious respect towards nature that Cantina Todini demonstrates as well as ensuring the two wines stand out and are easy to identify even on a shelf full of wine bottles.

The label design project becomes, at the same time, an element of curiosity and attraction for potential customers highlighting the power of packaging!

But this is not just an “exotic” eccentricity for its own sake.  The extremely rigorous graphic design project and the embellishments used, such as the transparent braille varnish on the name of the wine and the Todini logo, the precious hot-gold foil details on the mane and the zebra clogs, transfers the passion for the land and the territory from Cantina Todini to the consumer with the production of these very special and unique wines.

The paper wisely chosen for this project is the pressure-sensitive paper produced by Arconvert, Freelife Merida White Ultra WS FSCTM certified.  Freelife Merida White is a premium quality uncoated recycled paper, felt-marked, made with cotton and recycled fibers and with the Ultra WS treatment.
