Arconvert’s packaging experts have always striven to raise awareness of the importance of packaging, particularly the label to enhance a product, especially if placed near to many similar products. Dieline, established in 20017 by Andrew Gibbs has had the same goal. Dieline has become the leading media brand for consumer packaging and brands. Dieline is committed to supporting the advancement of the package design industry in all its forms and its key focus is to build a global community of packaging designers. This year, Dieline celebrates ten years of influential design, innovation and pure excellence. In that time, they’ve awarded 490 trophies to the absolute best in consumer and product packaging worldwide, all with the purpose of raising awareness of the immense value of well-designed brand packaging. Brand owners, consumers, marketers, agencies, in-house creatives, students and enthusiasts around the world look to Dieline Awards as the industry-wide benchmark of impeccably designed packaging for consumer products. Dieline Awards is one of the largest packaging design competitions of its kind. It continues to evolve and shape the design community, highlighting the impactful trends we love to pay homage to.
In 2020, the Awards will offer more in-depth categories than ever before to help celebrate innovation and honor excellence. Now with 29 categories, a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner will be awarded per category.
Moreover, at the Dieline Awards 2020 there will be Top Awards and Special Awards. In the TOP AWARDS, one winner will be awarded a Dieline Awards Trophy for each category. The categories are, BEST OF SHOW: the highest cumulative score among all entries will be awarded the extremely coveted Best of Show prize. This is the Grand Winner of the entire competition. EDITORS CHOICE: one Editor’s Choice Award will be handpicked by The Dieline’s founder Andrew Gibbs. STUDIO OF THE YEAR: will recognize one studio for their collective work and contribution to consumer package design over the past year. This award will be given to the studio, agency, or in-house team that receives the most overall wins across all categories in The Dieline Awards 2020 competition. REBRAND OF THE YEAR: the jury will recognize one consumer brand from all rebrand entries and categories for its outstanding overall branding redesign within the past year. PLASTIC FREE INNOVATION OF THE YEAR: the top-scoring project from the Plastic Free Category will be recognized for its outstanding work and contribution to plastic-free and biomaterial-based package designs over the past year.
There will be also 3 SPECIAL AWARDS. One winner will be awarded a Dieline Awards Trophy for each category. One special award will be the ARCONVERT LABEL AWARD. The packaging experts of Arconvert will be awarding the best use of Labels in a packaging project with the winner handpicked by Arconvert.
All entries must have been projects created, produced or launched in retail between Dec 1st, 2018 and Dec 31st, 2019. For more information, please check the competition rules.
In the upcoming edition, every submission will be reviewed by an esteemed jury of structural packaging, design, branding and consumer product experts focused on five key elements: Creativity, Marketability, Innovation, Execution and On-Pack Branding.
