Isabel Cabello chose Tintoretto Gesso Greaseproof for Cuac, and won the Gold Award at Pentawards 2018
The studio of Isabel Cabello and Ana Mure, based in Jaén, Spain, has won the Gold Award at the prestigious Pentawards 2018 for the design of Cuac. This is an extra-virgin olive oil, organically farmed and labelled with Manter Tintoretto Gesso Greaseproof. This paper, produced by Arconvert, has a natural appearance and is felt-marked, which makes it the perfect choice for select products labelled thanks to its pure and essential textures. Tintoretto Gesso Greaseproof has a greaseproof treatment that protects the label from oil and vegetable grease stains, without even the slightest alteration to its aesthetic features.
Cuac’s name comes from the onomatopoeic word describing the sound a duck makes. This animal is used on the packaging elements since the olives for making this extra virgin olive oil come from an area known as “Duck Farm”: it is easy to spot these birds in the reservoirs surrounding the olive grove. The design represents a rubber duck, something associated with childhood that also invokes the name of the productive area.
The Pentawards has once again awarded a work by Isabel Cabello, who has also created a product line with rubber packaging that evokes the toy ducks; a bold, fresh and effective idea.
