CANTINA COLLI MORENICI USES LETTERING TO INCREASE ITS BRAND AWARENESS
Cantina Colli Morenici winery operates as a cooperative that has been involved in producing high-quality wines for more than fifty years. Thanks to its structural modernisation scheme, land acquisitions and its strict self-discipline protocol, Cantina Colli Morenici has managed to make itself standout over time with its wide range of organic wines along with its light and bubbly wines, which must be consumed young, such as Garda Colli Mantovani DOC, Garda DOC and its sparkling wines. The region of Ponti sul Mincio is in fact particularly suitable for wine production due to the mild weather of Lake Garda and the special composition of the soil.
The labels for Cantina Colli Morenici’s most prestigious wines are those created by the designer Stefano Torregrossa from the Onice Design studio. This designer was inspired by two self-adhesive papers produced by Arconvert: Manter Materica Gesso Ultra WS – for white and red wine – and Manter Materica Kraft Ultra WS – for the Lugana wine. These two materials are composed of a mixture of cotton fibres, recycled fibres and pure cellulose, which are treated with Ultra WS technology that prevents wrinkling and reduces water absorption on the surface of the label.
The design of the label is minimalist and elegant. The natural delicate texture of the self-adhesive papers provides an air of distinction by the use of typographic characters, with a vintage but contemporary touch, that form the names of the wines to convey their long historic tradition along with their capacity to continue make a strong impression. The printing work is masterfully achieved by Grafiche Valpolicella with elegant effects in hot stamping foil of gold, silver and bronze and transparent or braille varnishes.
