Celler Masroig celebrates its new wine on Manter Tintoretto Gesso

By on July 26th, 2018

Every delivery of the Vi Novell (young wine) from Celler Masroig is a special occasion to celebrate the wine-making tradition that, in some respects, is closely linked, due to the same season and often geographical area, to the atavistic slaughter of pigs. This year, the Atipus studio used the Manter Tintoretto Gesso Ultra WS frontal label to represent the dissection lines of the animal. For such purpose, it used pink ink, a reference to the pork fat, and a Braille-dotted design that runs over the label like cutting lines. The final cuts of meat are numbered with digits printed in black, glossy stamping. The paper produced by Arconvert is treated with Ultra WS technology that is perfect for a wine that often needs to be chilled quickly before being served.

Every year Atipus portrays an aspect of the character and features of the Vi Novell on a different label that is very much associated with the origins of opening the barrels of new wine. It is an ephemeral wine that implies the best way to start and celebrate the new harvest and the first product obtained from the hard work involved in harvesting the grapes.
