Birra D’Ambrosia, BasileADV, and Sirio Pearl Ice White – an art explosion at One More Pack 2017

By on September 20th, 2017

What if street art meets craft beer taste? Can a sip of beer be enough to dive you metaphorically into the sea waves? D’Ambrosia Brewery accepted the challenge and chose to rely on BasileADV‘s genius for the design of the labels of its “Speciale” and “Doppio Malto” craft beers. The “Speciale” is an intensely aromatic blonde with an important structure, but its mild alcoholic content makes it easy and enjoyable to drink. The “Doppio Malto” has a dark golden colour and its malt scent and bitter-tasting strength can be perceived at the first sip. In short, it is the triumph of the traditional flavours of the hinterland of the Amalfi Coast, that the designer Andrea Basile wanted to praise by creating a unique couple of labels. The graphic design of the labels was born from a collaboration with the famous street artist Fabrizio Sarti – aka SeaCreative – and was inspired by the masterpiece of Melville – Moby Dick – by the power of the sea, and the irresistible desire to pursue a dream and to reach it at all costs. These two beautiful labels are printed on Manter Sirio Pearl Ice White UWS, a self-adhesive paper produced by Arconvert, which – thanks to its pearl finish – enhances the print rich in details and colour shades of the illustrations and of the characters created by Fabrizio Sarti. Following the motto “Off (shore) the usual beers”, these wonderful labels won the Best Innovation Award of the Labels category at the prestigious One More Pack 2017.
